Our approach
We firmly believe:
- clients should be able to realise the benefits of our consulting quickly
- senior management should gain ownership for initiatives at an early stage
- development of business processes needs to run in parallel with research and development so that implementation is rapid and seamless
In order to do this, we develop a close partnering approach with our clients so that we are able to work efficiently with in-house expertise and resources. In the same way, we partner with other agencies and suppliers to ensure a high quality result and full accountability for delivery.
Our experience with most projects is that it is highly advantageous to involve senior opinion formers and influencers within the organisation. We believe that this involvement should start at the very beginning, allowing them to help to frame the project, through to the end and enabling them to discuss and understand the findings. Many good consultancy projects have failed to deliver optimum value to firms because such early buy-in was not achieved.
To ensure that buy-in is achieved and sustained, we usually hold a number of workshops involving key players in the project. This also ensures the maximum amount of internal knowledge is pooled at an early stage. The initial workshop explores the type and scope of actions that may be needed - thus preparing the group to take advantage of the recommendations.
In short, Gracechurch acts as a catalyst for change within our client organisations. In our experience, this is the most effective method of ensuring projects are followed through long after we've packed up and gone home.
